Artistic Inspiration: How did your hike inspire you artistically?

I created a sketchbook journal page with field notes identifying the types of plant life I found on the hike. I later created a small painting depicting the area and a historic native american cairn. Several other paintings were made in the likeness of the surrounding Catskill area.

Plants Identified: alpine forget me nots, sagebrush, shrubby cinquefoil, jim hill mustard, houndstongue

Artistic Inspiration: How did your hike inspire you artistically?

I plan to make a new series of works titled "American Ghosts" that explores the concept of big game animals as phantoms in their own environment
