About Art For Our Parks *
Our Mission
Art For Our Parks is an independent environmental storytelling platform focused on sharing nature-inspired and environmental-themed creative work that explores themes connected to public lands, wildlife, and ecological systems.
We support creative expression, storytelling, and engagement with environmental themes through art.
How We Define Conservation
At Art For Our Parks, we define conservation as the protection, restoration, and long-term stewardship of ecosystems, wildlife populations, and natural habitats in the wild.
We focus on conservation efforts that demonstrate meaningful ecological outcomes in natural environments.
Related activities such as education, captive animal care, and awareness-based programming may support conservation efforts and are evaluated within their broader context.
This approach helps ensure that conservation impact is represented clearly, consistently, and transparently across all organizations and projects we highlight.
Who We Bring Together
We bring together artists, photographers, and writers exploring environmental and nature-related themes through creative work.
Participation in Art For Our Parks does not confer or imply professional conservation credentials or the title of “conservationist.”
Our Vision
A world where creative expression deepens connection to the natural environment and encourages thoughtful engagement with ecological and environmental themes through storytelling and visual culture.
How Our Impact Works
Art For Our Parks supports conservation through a combination of creative storytelling, artist participation, and verified contributions to conservation organizations.
Our impact takes three forms:
Direct conservation communication projects led by the founder
Artist-led donations to verified conservation organizations
Amplification of independent conservation-related work by artists in our community
All financial contributions are verified through documentation provided by participating artists and included in our impact reporting.
Independence Note
Art For Our Parks is an independent platform. While it highlights artists, organizations, and projects connected to environmental and conservation themes, inclusion does not imply partnership, endorsement, or affiliation unless explicitly stated.
Participation in this platform does not confer professional conservation credentials or the title of “conservationist.”
How We Evaluate Organizations
Organizations featured or referenced by Art For Our Parks are assessed based on publicly available information and alignment with our conservation definition.
We prioritize organizations that demonstrate:
Direct conservation impact in natural environments
Transparent conservation support or funding of field-based work
Verifiable partnerships and measurable outcomes
Organizations that primarily focus on education, captive animal experiences, or broad conservation language without clear, traceable impact are not classified as conservation organizations within our reporting.
How It Started
Art For Our Parks began with a conversation about using creativity to raise awareness for our public lands. That initial idea has since blossomed into a dynamic online platform that not only showcases talented artists but also supports conservation through storytelling, education, and community engagement.
Early inspiration came from conversations with artist Nikki Molick, whose passion for parks helped spark the concept.
Since the public launch, the project has grown to include multiple facets — from artist resources to independent conservation writing and storytelling — and is actively maintained and expanded by the founder, Ashley Glasco.
