This was our first visit to this park, which is in the Black Forest. The temperature difference there is noticeable compared to the exposed areas surrounding the forest!

The trees in this forest are wild - likely grown from proximity to headwaters, it's seemingly out of place in the middle of a bunch of wide open front-range land. They are so dense for this area!

I've been reading healing books while walking with June, and the topics often inspire me to create a healing project. Beginning a new phase of life, I am inspired to make some new jewelry pieces which hold meaning - weaving intention into the knots.

I'm really loving the wildflowers here - they are different from ones up North. Down here, there's lots of variations of white wildflowers, which are distinctive against the lush greenness of the foliage. My favorites so far are these ones that remind me of dandelions.

I found a rhodonite!! A big one, too!! Geological finds will absolutely keep me inspired to make more jewelry pieces.
