Wildlife Present: toucans, tarantulas, bark scorpions, eyelash vipers, stick bugs, motmot, frogs

Plants Identified: I was mostly looking at bugs and animals, but I was surrounded by beautiful tropical plants!

Artistic Inspiration: How did your hike inspire you artistically?

  • This was my first time hiking at night during a rainforest. It was lightly raining, and we saw many animal species that we kept our distance from to keep from disturbing them, but I was able to take some really fun photos to base future art pieces on.

Artistic Inspiration: How did your hike inspire you artistically?

  • We took a slow hike through the national park, keeping an eye out for wildlife, which I saw so many and was very inspired. Our hike led to a beautiful cove, where I sat and painted some of the animals I saw in watercolor.
