Hike for Hope x Art For Our Parks Digital Submission Location

Summary: Hike for Hope x Art For Our Parks is a distributed creative fieldwork initiative in participation with the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada. The project brings together artists across North America and Europe to document their personal connection to nature through lived experience, reflection, and creative practice. Participating artists engage in self-directed outdoor experiences and contribute ongoing field documentation, which is compiled into a living Field Journal archive. The project also culminates in a collaborative artwork assembled from artist contributions and a virtual exhibition.

Apply: Submit field-based digital contributions HERE.

Notes: This is a distributed, non-residency fieldwork initiative. Artists independently engage with natural environments in their local areas and contribute documentation throughout the project period. Materials may include written reflections, photographs, sketches, observational notes, and ethically collected natural materials (where legal). Selected contributions will be included in a public Field Journal archive and may contribute to a final collaborative artwork donated to the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada. Final submission deadline is September 20, 2026, with a virtual exhibition launching in early October 2026.
